About the role
This role will manage corporate and cross-border / international tax, including transfer pricing along with M&A;, for a quick-growing group with manufacturing and retail operations across multiple geographies. You will work closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal and business leaders, and take ownership of compliance, disputes and planning.

Key responsibilities

Corporate tax
• Manage advance tax, TDS/TCS, return filing and tax audit (3CD) with accurate provisioning and deferred tax.
• Lead assessments, appeals and litigation before CIT(A), ITAT and DRP, working with external counsel.
• Provide tax inputs on new business models, capex and manufacturing incentives, restructuring and M&A.;

International tax
• Manage tax compliances of overseas subsidiaries based in APAC & Europe region
• Advise on DTAA, withholding tax, PE risk, Equalisation Levy and FEMA interface for cross-border payments.
• Support tax structuring for overseas subsidiaries, funding and repatriation.
• Track global developments, including BEPS/ Pillar Two,



and assess their impact on the group.

Transfer pricing
• Own the TP policy, benchmarking and documentation: Form 3CEB, Master File, Local File and CbCR.
• Manage intercompany agreements and pricing for contract manufacturing, royalty, technical fees, services and import/export flows.
• Lead TP audits and disputes, and drive APA/MAP strategy where relevant.

Governance and business partnering
• Build tax controls, SOPs and review checklists, and support statutory and internal audits.
• Coordinate with advisors and manage their scope and fees.
• Train and review the work of junior team members.

Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant.
• 8-12 years of experience in direct tax, international tax and TP, ideally Big4 followed by industry.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred (auto, electronics, FMCG, pharma or engineering).
• Hands-on litigation experience up to ITAT.
