Role Description The Lead DevOps Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure,
and reliable infrastructure to support Shuru’s product and consulting engagements. This role involves leading the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code implementation, environment provisioning, monitoring, and incident response. The Lead DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software engineers, data teams, and product stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments, optimal performance, and effective observability across services and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include refining deployment workflows, automating repetitive tasks, improving system resilience, optimizing cloud costs, and mentoring team members on DevOps best practices. The role also includes evaluating current tools and practices, contributing to architecture decisions, and helping standardize DevOps frameworks across multiple client projects.
