Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sous Chef role based in Chandigarh & Panchkula at AJA | World Kitchen & Bar. The Sous Chef supports the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and quality control across all service periods. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, coordinating station work, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards, and managing food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices. The role involves contributing to menu execution,



monitoring inventory and minimizing waste, training team members, and helping maintain a smooth, effective, and positive kitchen environment. The Sous Chef also collaborates with management to uphold the brand’s standards for world-inspired, high-quality, and consistent dishes.
Qualifications
• Strong skills in hot and cold kitchen preparation, cooking techniques, and menu execution.
• Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff, coordinate schedules, and support team development.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in kitchen sanitation.
• Experience with inventory management, portion control, and cost-conscious use of ingredients.
• Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams.
