We’re hiring a UI/UX designer.
Think of the last app screen you used. Where did your eye go first, and why? If you can answer that, and still hold your ground when a developer says the button should be smaller, we’d like to talk to you.
AccuMate makes AI accounting software for accounting practices. The AI drafts the work. The accountant approves it and is accountable for it. That puts a lot on the interface: they have to see what the AI did, judge whether it’s right and fix it without hunting for the control, usually with money on the screen.
What we want:
• You know where users look and where they get lost, and you design for that
• You can tell two close colours apart and you care which one ships
• A pixel that’s off bothers you, and you can explain why it matters
• You can defend a decision when we push back,
including “why not the safe option?”
• You’ll take a risk on the UI. AI can hand anyone a passable interface in seconds now. Passable isn’t
what we’re after
0 to 4 years of experience. We’d rather see your portfolio than your years. Full time, or a fixed-term contract if you freelance.
