MASH Project Foundation is a social impact consultancy and a Gates Foundation Goalkeepers Global Goals awardee. We work with nonprofits, philanthropies, and companies to scale their impact through strategic media communications and community-building initiatives.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, well-networked and editorially sharp Manager – Public Relations to lead PR and media communications for both MASH and its clients across the nonprofit, philanthropy and corporate impact space.
This is a strategic + hands-on role where you will own the complete PR lifecycle — from developing narratives and media strategies to building journalist relationships, securing earned media, positioning spokespersons and measuring impact. You will also help shape MASH's voice as a thought leader in the social impact sector.
Key Responsibilities
Client PR & Strategy
• Develop and execute PR and media strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Lead assigned client accounts and manage PR deliverables end-to-end.




• Develop press releases, media notes, op-eds, bylines, quotes, media kits and briefing documents.
• Prepare and coach spokespersons for interviews, panels, podcasts and media appearances.
• Identify speaking opportunities, awards, festivals and industry forums.

Media Relations
• Build and maintain solid relationships with journalists, editors, producers, columnists and independent creators.
• Develop media relationships across development, sustainability, CSR, philanthropy, business and policy.
• Proactively pitch stories and secure earned coverage across print, digital, broadcast, wire services, newsletters and podcasts.
• Track the news agenda and identify newsjacking and rapid-response opportunities.
• Manage media partners, PR agencies and freelancers.

MASH Thought Leadership
• Build and manage the thought-leadership calendar for MASH leadership.
