We are looking for an exceptional generalist to work directly with the founders on Solumn’s most significant and evolving priorities. The mandate is intentionally open-ended: you might investigate an unfamiliar technical problem, build an internal tool, improve a process, or help take an initiative from idea to execution. What matters is your ability to find structure in ambiguity, learn quickly, and deliver with little hand-holding. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be technically curious and comfortable using AI tools to extend what you can accomplish.

How you will contribute
Own ambiguous problems: Take a problem from initial framing to a finished outcome. Identify the important questions, make sensible trade-offs, and follow through independently.
Build with AI: Use AI coding agents, research tools, and automation to prototype solutions, improve workflows, and validate the quality of what you produce.
Learn across disciplines:



Rapidly develop practical understanding of unfamiliar technical, research, or company-building problems; ask good questions and become effective quickly.
Strengthen how we work: Spot gaps and inefficiencies, build lightweight systems and processes, and help turn emerging priorities into repeatable capabilities.

Who you are
Academic foundation: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, ideally demonstrated through an excellent academic record at a rigorous institution.
Startup experience: Ideally 1–3 years in an early-stage technology company, particularly in a founder’s office, founding team, or broad high-ownership role.

This is an opportunity to work hands-on with the Founders and build meaningfully in AI Safety.
