About BFG Tax Academy

BFG Tax Academy is a qualified training initiative established by Business Financial Group (BFG), a U.S.-based accounting and tax services firm. The Academy focuses on providing practical, career-oriented training in U.S. taxation, tax preparation, professional communication, and tax software applications.

We are seeking a qualified Legal Consultant based in Kerala for a short-term, project-based engagement to review and finalize the Academy's student agreements and related onboarding legal documents.

Key Responsibilities
- Review the existing Student Enrollment Agreement and related student onboarding legal documents drafted by BFG Tax Academy.
- Identify potential legal risks, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and provisions requiring clarification or revision.
- Evaluate the documents for compliance with applicable Indian laws, including relevant contract law, consumer protection, and data privacy requirements.
- Review provisions relating to student enrollment, course fees, payment terms, cancellations, refunds,



student responsibilities, and dispute resolution.
- Assess disclaimers concerning employment opportunities, internships, placements, certifications, and career outcomes.
- Recommend necessary modifications to ensure the documents are legally appropriate, clear, and enforceable.
- Provide written legal observations and suggested revisions.
- Coordinate with BFG management to discuss recommendations and incorporate agreed changes.
- Prepare and submit the final revised documents for management approval.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- Enrollment with a State Bar Council in India, preferably the Bar Council of Kerala.
- Previous experience in legal document review, contract drafting, and agreement finalization.
- Strong understanding of Indian contract law and relevant consumer protection regulations.
