Policy Manager – Construction Equipment Finance

Role Summary

The Policy Manager – Construction Equipment Finance will be responsible for credit policy formulation, portfolio risk management and enterprise-level risk mitigation for the Construction Equipment Finance business. The role collaborates closely with Business, Credit, Collections, Analytics and other cross-functional teams to drive portfolio quality and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit Policy and Risk Management
• Develop, review and strengthen credit policies, underwriting norms and risk parameters for Construction Equipment Finance.
• Analyse portfolio performance and recommend policy changes, risk triggers and underwriting interventions.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk appetite frameworks and regulatory guidelines.
• Portfolio Monitoring and Risk Mitigation
• Track portfolio performance, delinquency, slippages and other key risk indicators.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Business,



Credit and Collections to implement and track risk interventions.
• Reporting, Stakeholder Management and Automation
• Prepare portfolio dashboards, management reports and data-backed portfolio insights.
• Communicate risk expectations and integrate market/field feedback through stakeholder partnerships.
• Support automation of risk reporting, policy rules and technology-led risk initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 3–10 years in credit, credit policy, risk or portfolio management in Banking/NBFC/Financial Services.
• Preferred: Exposure to Construction Equipment, Commercial Vehicle, Equipment Finance, MSME or other secured lending.
• Education: MBA/PGDM in Finance or Risk; CA/CFA preferred.
• Robust analytical skills, credit assessment capability and stakeholder management.
• Experience in translating credit policy into Business Rule Engines (BRE), and familiarity with automation of policy rules, decision systems and rule
