Software Testing Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer with extensive experience in testing APIs using Postman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze requirements and ensure that software meets the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for API testing using Postman.
• Analyze high-level requirements and translate them into detailed test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Perform regression testing and ensure that recent features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.




• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

• Proficiency in API testing using Postman.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Ability to write explicit and concise test cases and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with performance testing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
