Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Stores & Inventory operations, including receipt, inspection, storage and issue of materials.
- Maintain GRN, stock registers, material issue slips and other store records.
- Ensure proper material identification, tagging, binning and systematic storage.
- Monitor minimum/maximum/reorder stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
- Conduct physical stock verification and reconciliation; monitor slow-moving, obsolete and rejected materials.
- Handle transformer manufacturing materials such as CRGO, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, radiators, tanks and electrical components.
- Assist in purchase activities, including collecting indents, obtaining quotations and preparing comparative statements.
- Coordinate with vendors for price, quality, specifications and timely delivery.
- Follow up on pending Purchase Orders and maintain supplier documentation.
- Maintain inventory through ERP and MS Excel and prepare stock/MIS reports.




- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Accounts and Purchase teams.
- Supervise Store Assistants/Store Keepers/Helpers and allocate daily activities.
- Ensure proper material traceability and documentation from receipt to production.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Stores & Inventory Management and Purchase Coordination.
- Good knowledge of Transformer/Electrical manufacturing materials.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong vendor follow-up, negotiation and coordination skills.
- Positive documentation, stock reconciliation and reporting skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Stores & Purchase.

- Experience in Transformer Manufacturing / Electrical Equipment / Heavy Engineering will be preferred.
- Candidates with ERP-based inventory management experience will have an added advantage.
