Role & responsibilities

1. Perform daily activities as per the approved departmental plan, procedures, work instructions, and instructions given by the reporting manager.
2. Ensure timely completion of assigned activities and achievement of departmental targets.
3. Maintain accurate records, reports, check sheets, and other applicable departmental documents.
4. Monitor assigned processes and activities to ensure compliance with defined requirements and standards.
5. Identify abnormalities, deviations, problems, and potential risks and report them to the concerned supervisor or department head.
6. Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
8. Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, materials, equipment, and other resources, wherever applicable.
9. Follow applicable quality management system requirements, company policies, safety rules, and environmental procedures.
10. Maintain workplace housekeeping, 5S, discipline, and safe working practices.
11. Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, internal audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Support the implementation of new procedures, process improvements, and management initiatives.
13. Ensure proper identification, handling, storage, and traceability of materials, products, tools, or records, as applicable to the department.
14. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the reporting manager.
15. Ensure timely communication and escalation of customer-related, operational, employee-related, equipment-related, or other departmental issues, as applicable.
16. Perform other duties assigned by the reporting manager that are relevant to the role and the employee's competence.
17. Perform assigned activities within the approved authority and defined responsibilities.
18. Identify and report deviations, unsafe conditions, and nonconformities.
19. Request support from the concerned department for resolving operational issues.
20. Recommend improvements in work methods, efficiency, quality, and safety.
21. Escalate critical issues to the reporting manager without delay.
