Roles and Responsibilities of Storekeeper at MWSL Sewer Lining Site

1. Material Receiving: Check quantity, weight, quality, and delivery documents of incoming materials.
2. Stock Management: Maintain daily stock records of resin, hardener, liner coils, chemicals, and consumables.
3. Material Issue: Issue materials to the lining team against authorised requests and maintain issue records.
4. Drum & Coil Tracking: Record drum/coil numbers, batch numbers, received quantity, used quantity, and balance stock.
5. Consumption Record: Maintain daily material consumption and wastage records for each sewer section.
6. Storage & Safety: Store materials safely according to manufacturer instructions and check expiry dates.
7. Physical Verification: Check actual stock against register balances and report discrepancies.
8. Documentation: Maintain inward, outward, stock, return, and material reconciliation registers.
9. Coordination: Inform the site engineer about low stock and arrange timely material requirements.

Daily Reporting: Submit daily material receipt, issue, consumption, and closing stock reports to the site engineer.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Storekeeper at construction or sewer rehabilitation/lining project sites.
- Knowledge of material receipt, issue, stock management, and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience in maintaining Excel-based stock registers and daily material consumption reports.
- Knowledge of resin, hardener, liner coils, chemicals, and construction consumables.
- Ability to maintain drum-wise and coil-wise material traceability.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills with site engineers and project teams.
- Honest, responsible, organised, and safety-conscious.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel, is preferred.
