Job Description Senior Manager (Civil)

Business Unit: Auro Textiles Fabric Division

Grade: Senior Manager, M3

Reporting To: Unit Head

Place of Posting: Baddi, Himachal Pradesh

1. Primary Role

To oversee civil maintenance and infrastructure management across all Fabric Division units, including factory buildings, residential colonies, utilities, and other civil structures. The role also involves planning and execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects, ensuring timely completion, cost control, quality standards, structural integrity, and compliance with safety procedures.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

1. Oversee repair and maintenance of factory buildings, residential facilities, roads, drainage systems, water supply lines, sewerage systems, and other civil infrastructure.

2. Conduct periodic inspections of civil structures, roofs, flooring, plaster, ceilings, and other building components to ensure structural stability and timely maintenance.

3. Assess the feasibility of current buildings, machine foundations, and modifications to existing structures, including preparation of drawings, proposals, cost estimates, and BOQs.

4. Prepare annual revenue and capital budgets, monitor expenditure, control costs, and ensure effective utilisation of resources.

5. Review material requirements, verify quantities, and approve purchase indents as per organisational procedures.

Monitor construction projects for progress, budget, quality, and adherence to approved specifications and timelines.

7. Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve technical and site-related issues.

8. Verify job approvals, contractor bills, work measurements, and supporting documents in accordance with organisational SOPs.

9. Ensure compliance with safety standards and prescribed procedures during civil maintenance and construction activities.

10. Maintain records of drawings, estimates, BOQs, approvals, completed jobs, and associated costs.

11. Lead and guide civil officers, supervisors, and supporting staff, while addressing team grievances and ensuring effective service delivery.

12. Provide land, building, and infrastructure-related information to internal departments, CPPD, and the Estate Office as required.

3. Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.

- Proven experience in industrial infrastructure, including Greenfield and Brownfield projects and civil maintenance.

- Hands-on experience in project execution, budgeting, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and contractor management.

- Knowledge of construction quality standards, safety practices, and infrastructure maintenance.
