About the role

We are looking for a Lead Finance who will own and drive the organization's financial controllership and accounting operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial operations while building scalable processes and controls for a fast-growing organisation.

Specifically,this role will involve

- Overseeing bookkeeping, GL, reconciliations, balance sheet, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
- Leading Accounts Payable & Receivables, including vendor management, invoice processing, payments, ageing, reimbursements, and reconciliations.
- Ensuring effective cash-flow, working capital, payment, and expense management.
- Driving GST, TDS, income tax, statutory compliances,



and audit coordination with internal/external stakeholders.
- Owning MIS, management reporting, dashboards, variance analysis, and financial performance tracking.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and financial planning.
- Leading, mentoring, and managing the Finance/AP & AR team, driving accountability and execution excellence.
- Strengthening finance processes, SOPs, internal controls, governance, and automation across the function.
- Partnering with senior leadership on financial analysis, business decisions, cost management, and commercial evaluation.
- Building scalable finance processes to support Masters Unions growth and evolving business requirements

Ideal candidate will have

- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory. Post-qualification experience in Finance/Controllership/Accounting.
- Good exposure to GST, TDS, taxation, statutory compliance, and audits.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing MIS, financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Robust understanding of internal controls, accounting processes, SOPs, and financial governance.
- Experience working in a high-growth startup, education, technology, consulting, or corporate environment will be preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable managing both strategy and day-to-day finance operations.
