About the Role

Webnyay Private Limited is looking for an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python/Django, React, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs, along with experience leading development teams and delivering secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise systems.

The role involves working closely with the Solution Architect, AI Engineer, QA Lead, and UI/UX Designer to deliver a flagship deployment for a public sector undertaking.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Delivery

- Lead a team of 24 backend and frontend developers.
- Translate High-Level Design (HLD) into Low-Level Design (LLD) and break down approximately 50 use cases into sprint-ready technical tasks.
- Develop production-quality code using Python/Django and React.
- Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure overall code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on schedule.

Architecture, Performance and Reliability

- Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models, document storage, and append-only audit logs.
- Implement hash-chain integrity and document retention policies based on regulatory classifications, supporting 710 years of retention.
- Drive performance optimization to meet page-load targets of under 2 seconds at 10,000 concurrent users.
- Support platform reliability targets of 99.95% uptime, RPO of 15 minutes,



and RTO of 60 minutes.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect on data centre/disaster recovery (DC/DR) architecture, active-passive high availability, automated failover, and quarterly disaster recovery drills.
- Implement observability through health checks, latency and error dashboards, and distributed tracing.

Security and Integrations

- Design, develop, and secure REST APIs and integrations with third-party and enterprise systems.
- Apply application security best practices, including OWASP Top 10, encryption, role-based access control (RBAC), and single sign-on (SSO).
- Support authentication and identity integration using LDAP/Active Directory, SAML, or OIDC.
- Integrate security testing into development workflows using SAST and DAST tools.

DevOps and Engineering Excellence

- Work with Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development and code review workflows.
- Implement asynchronous processing and background jobs using Celery with Redis or RabbitMQ.
- Optimize caching, database queries, and application performance.
- Contribute to deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support for on-premises enterprise applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or an equivalent qualification.
- 8+ years of software development experience,



including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django/Django REST Framework, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience developing and securing REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with enterprise applications deployed in on-premises environments.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity.
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10, encryption, RBAC, SSO, SAST, and DAST.
- Experience with asynchronous processing, message queues, caching, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Linux, Docker, CI/CD, Git, and code review practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including interaction with client technical teams and auditors.

Valuable to Have

- Experience in BFSI, banking, or NBFC projects.
- Exposure to on-premises deployment of LLM/NLP models or RPA tools.
- Experience with audit-grade systems, immutable logs, evidence chains, and document retention.
- Familiarity with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, ISO 27001, and STQC/CERT-In audit processes.
- Experience developing multilingual applications supporting English, Hindi, and regional languages.
