Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior - Java Full Stack Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications, with a strong focus on AI-assisted development practices. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java and Scala-based application development, full-stack technologies, modern architecture patterns, and hands-on experience with event-driven systems and cloud platforms. Experience building distributed data-intensive applications using Scala is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade full stack applications.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools Cursor.ai, Replit, GitHub Copilot or equivalent to enhance engineering productivity.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed applications using Scala, Java, and modern data processing frameworks.
- Architect and build microservices-based solutions using Java, Scala, and modern frameworks (Spring Boot/Akka or equivalent).
- Develop and integrate real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka.
- Design scalable and resilient systems leveraging cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders in Banking/FSO/Capital Markets domain.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, performance, and DevOps pipelines.
- Mentor and manage a team of developers; foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Participate in client discussions, requirement gathering, and solution design.
- Drive Agile delivery practices across the team.





Primary Skills (Must Have)

- Strong experience in Java and Scala Development (Mandatory):
- Java 8/11/17+
- Scala (Mandatory)
- Spring Boot, Microservices
- Functional and reactive programming concepts

- Backend development experience building scalable distributed systems using Java and Scala
- Expertise in Apache Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture
- Strong knowledge of databases:

- Relational: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Good to have: MongoDB, Cassandra

- Hands-on exposure to AI-powered coding tools Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, Replit, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud platforms Azure/AWS/GCP:

- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Cloud-native services

- CI/CD, DevOps tools, and engineering best practices

Valuable to Have Skills

- Frontend expertise in Angular / React
- Exposure to Replit or similar developer environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with scalable system design and performance optimization

Secondary / Domain Skills

- Prior experience in FSO / Banking / Capital Markets
- Understanding of key financial systems, regulatory requirements, and domain workflows

Education
