Bar Manager Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the bar and ensure smooth service.
- Supervise bartenders, captains, stewards and other bar staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters, shifts and manpower planning.
- Ensure high standards of guest service, hospitality and customer experience.
- Manage bar inventory, stock levels, requisitions and daily consumption.
- Monitor liquor, beverage and other bar stock to control wastage and pilferage.
- Ensure proper billing, POS operations, KOTs and cash handling.
- Maintain required records for stock, sales, wastage and breakage.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, F&B;, Purchase, Accounts and Management.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve service-related issues professionally.
- Train and develop bar staff on service standards, cocktails, beverages and responsible service.




- Monitor daily sales and work towards achieving revenue and cost-control targets.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, ambience and discipline in the bar area.
- Support promotions, events and special offers to increase bar sales.
- Conduct opening and closing checks and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.
- Experience: 5–10 years in Bar/F&B; operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Experience in Bar, Brewery, Pub, Lounge, Club or Premium Restaurant preferred.
- Solid knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails and bar operations.
