Job Summary:

Ajfan International is looking for an experienced and strategic Pan India HR Head to lead the complete Human Resources function across its retail operations in India. The ideal candidate should have 15–20 years of strong HR leadership experience, preferably in large-scale retail, FMCG, hospitality, or multi-location businesses.

The role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, strengthening talent acquisition and retention, improving employee engagement, ensuring HR compliance, and building a high-performance culture across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Pan India HR function across corporate, regional, and retail operations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business and expansion plans.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and manpower planning for retail stores, corporate functions, and regional operations.
- Build a solid talent pipeline for Store Managers, Area Managers, Regional Managers, and other key positions.
- Develop effective employee retention and engagement strategies across multiple locations.
- Establish and monitor HR policies, processes, SOPs, and organizational structures.
- Oversee performance management, appraisal, promotions, and career development programs.
- Drive learning and development initiatives, including leadership and frontline retail training.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.




- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and company HR policies across all locations.
- Monitor attendance, payroll coordination, leave management, employee records, and HR operations.
- Develop and track HR metrics such as attrition, manpower cost, hiring turnaround time, absenteeism, retention, and employee productivity.
- Partner with business and operations leadership to identify manpower and organizational requirements.
- Lead and mentor the regional HR and HR operations teams.
- Conduct regular HR audits across branches and retail outlets.
- Support organizational expansion by developing scalable HR systems and processes.
- Drive initiatives related to employee culture, engagement, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Prepare and present HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to senior management.
- Act as a strategic HR business partner to the top management and business heads.

Candidate Profile:

- 15–20 years of overall HR experience, with significant experience in a senior HR leadership role.
- Strong experience in Retail, FMCG, Hospitality, Hypermarket, Supermarket, or other multi-location businesses.
- Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple cities/states.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, performance management, and labour compliance.
- Experience managing and mentoring large HR teams.
- Strong understanding of retail manpower planning and frontline workforce management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work closely with senior management and business leadership.
- Willingness to travel across India as required.
