Job Summary

We are looking for a Trademark Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to handle trademark prosecution and opposition matters at our Ahmedabad office.

Responsibilities

- Conduct trademark searches and advise on registrability
- Draft and file trademark applications before the Trade Marks Registry
- Draft replies to examination reports and attend show-cause hearings
- Draft notices of opposition, counter-statements and evidence affidavits
- Handle opposition hearings
- Draft legal notices, replies and affidavits
- Conduct legal research and support case strategy
- Support client advisory and trademark portfolio management
- Track deadlines and renewals, and ensure procedural compliance with the Trade Marks Registry

Requirements

- Robust knowledge of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and the Trade Marks Rules, 2017
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
- Experience appearing in hearings before the Trade Marks Registry
