Job Summary

Join our Marketing Technology Team, the group responsible for building and enhancing Interactive Brokers in-house marketing and sales technology platforms. Our systems power critical marketing, client acquisition, attribution, campaign measurement, lead management, sales analytics, and customer engagement capabilities that support business growth across global markets.

Responsibilities

- As a member of the Marketing Technology Quality Engineering team, you will design, build, and maintain automated testing and data quality frameworks that ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of Interactive Brokers marketing platforms, analytics systems, and customer acquisition technologies for the IBKR Marketing Department and management.
- Build scalable testing frameworks that enable our team to deploy confidently and maintain high system reliability
- Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing that catch issues before they reach production
- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure
- Develop data quality checks to ensure integrity across pipelines and databases
- Investigate and triage test failures, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field




- 3+ years of software engineering or test automation experience with strong coding skills (Python required)
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
- Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across relational databases and analytical platforms.
- Robust communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with version control systems (git)
- Experience & Mindset: Demonstrated ownership mindset with a passion for improving quality and reliability
- Ability to think critically and challenge assumptions through data-driven testing
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with evolving business requirements
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, analytics, and business teams
- Experience validating data pipelines, business intelligence reports, and marketing analytics systems.
- Solid foundation in testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to drive projects independently

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with data quality/lineage platforms (Manta/Ataccama)
- Experience with Claude Code, Codex or equivalent
- Background in performance/load testing tools
- API and contract testing experience
- Experience with data engineering concepts and tools
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools
