ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused X-Ray Technician to join our healthcare diagnostics team in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will perform radiographic procedures safely and accurately, ensure appropriate patient preparation and positioning, and maintain high standards of image quality, radiation safety and patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a CAP-accredited laboratory network with an international presence, supported by contemporary diagnostic facilities and ongoing professional development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare patients for radiographic examinations by explaining procedures, confirming relevant details and helping them feel comfortable throughout the process.

· Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging techniques and exposure parameters to obtain clear, diagnostic-quality images.

· Operate X-ray equipment in accordance with established protocols, departmental procedures and applicable safety standards.

· Follow radiation protection principles and safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of protective equipment and measures to minimise unnecessary exposure.

· Maintain patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality while delivering respectful, professional and compassionate care.

· Verify patient identification and examination details, accurately document procedures and maintain complete imaging records in the designated system.

· Review images for positioning, clarity and technical adequacy; coordinate with the radiologist or relevant clinical team when repeat imaging or further action may be required.

· Perform routine equipment checks and help ensure that X-ray machines and related accessories remain clean,



functional and ready for use; promptly report faults or maintenance needs.

· Maintain cleanliness and infection-prevention practices in the imaging area in line with laboratory protocols.

· Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, reception and other diagnostic team members to support efficient patient flow and timely service delivery.

· Comply with organisational policies, quality procedures, documentation standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· Relevant recognised qualification in Radiography or Medical Imaging Technology, as required for the role.

· At least 1 year of relevant experience in radiology, X-ray services or diagnostic imaging.

· Working knowledge of radiographic techniques, patient positioning, image quality and radiation safety procedures.

· Understanding of patient identification, confidentiality, infection prevention and clinical documentation practices.

· Strong attention to detail, communication skills and a patient-centred approach.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced diagnostic environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism and service quality.

WORK SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY The position follows a 5.5-day workweek: Monday to Friday (full day) and Saturday (half day). Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.
