Job Title: Workday Payroll Functional Consultant Fulltime

Experience: 5+ Years Overall Payroll/HRIS Experience, Including 3+ Years of Hands-on Workday Payroll Functional Experience

We are looking for an experienced Workday Payroll Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting US Workday Payroll. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US payroll processing, Federal and State payroll regulations, Workday Payroll configuration, integrations, testing, and production support.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

1. Overall Experience: 5+ years of experience in Payroll/HRIS, including at least 3 years of hands-on Workday Payroll Functional experience.
2. US Workday Payroll Configuration: Strong hands-on experience configuring Workday Payroll for the United States. US Workday Payroll configuration experience is mandatory; third-party payroll experience alone will not qualify.
3. US Payroll Compliance: Robust understanding of US payroll processing, Federal and State payroll laws, tax regulations, deductions, and compliance requirements.
4. Workday Payroll Functional Expertise: Experience configuring and supporting payroll business processes, earnings, deductions, payroll calculations, and related payroll functionality.
5. Testing & Validation:



Experience with payroll testing, test scenario preparation, parallel payroll testing, validation, and issue resolution.
6. Troubleshooting & Production Support: Ability to investigate and resolve Workday Payroll configuration issues, payroll discrepancies, and production incidents.
7. Payroll Integrations: Robust functional understanding of payroll integrations and data flow between Workday Payroll, HR systems, and third-party applications.
8. Payroll Business Processes: Ability to analyze payroll requirements, configure business processes, and support payroll operations and enhancements.
9. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and technical teams.
10. Additional Preferred Skills: Knowledge of payroll accounting, General Ledger (GL), payroll-to-GL reconciliation, and Workday integration tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Studio is an advantage.
11. Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have hands-on US Workday Payroll configuration experience. Candidates with only ADP, UKG, Ceridian, or other third-party payroll experience, without US Workday Payroll configuration experience, will not qualify.
