Role Description

This is a full-time, in office WordPress Developer role based in Noida. The WordPress Developer will design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites and web applications, ensuring they are visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly. Daily responsibilities include building custom themes and plugins, configuring and optimizing WordPress installations, integrating third-party tools and APIs, and managing content structures and updates.

The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to implement project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve site performance and security. The developer will also be expected to test and debug features, follow best practices in coding and documentation, and stay current with WordPress and web development trends.

Core Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites with a focus on performance, responsiveness, and user experience
- Develop custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins based on business and design requirements
- Build and manage landing pages using Elementor, Gutenberg, or custom development
- Convert Figma designs into fully functional WordPress pages, ensuring pixel-accurate implementation across desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Optimize website performance including page load speed, Core Web Vitals, image optimization, caching, and database efficiency
- Implement technical SEO best practices including metadata, schema markup, URL structure, sitemaps, and indexing




- Integrate third-party services including CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, analytics, contact forms, and APIs
- Manage website security and maintenance including WordPress core updates, plugin updates, backups, malware prevention, and troubleshooting
- Implement tracking and analytics using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking
- Troubleshoot website issues, resolve plugin conflicts, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Manage website hosting, staging environments, deployments, and domain/DNS configurations
- Collaborate directly with the founder and marketing team to execute website updates and new initiatives

Must-Have Skills

WordPress Development

- 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience with examples of live production websites
- Robust proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins
- Advanced experience with Elementor and Gutenberg, including custom layouts and responsive design
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and WordPress hooks/actions/filters
- Ability to convert Figma or similar design files into responsive WordPress websites
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, database structure, and REST API

Website Performance & SEO

- Hands-on experience optimizing Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and Google PageSpeed Insights scores
- Experience with caching, CDN integration, image compression, and lazy loading
- Knowledge of technical SEO, structured data, XML sitemaps, redirects, and canonical tags
- Familiarity with Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or equivalent SEO plugins
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
- Ability to diagnose and resolve website performance bottlenecks

Security & Integrations

- Experience managing WordPress hosting environments, including cPanel, Cloudways, WP Engine, or similar platforms
- Understanding of DNS, SSL certificates, domain management, and website migrations
- Experience implementing security measures, backups, and disaster recovery
- Experience integrating CRM systems, email marketing platforms, forms, and third-party APIs
- Experience with Name.com for domain management, DNS configuration, nameservers, SSL setup, and connecting domains to WordPress hosting environments.
- Familiarity with Git, staging environments, and deployment workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot plugin conflicts, PHP errors, and database issues

Engineering & Work Practices

- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver clean, maintainable code
- Ability to independently manage projects from requirements through deployment
- Comfortable working directly with a founder and small startup team
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple website-related tasks

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with HubSpot CRM integration, lead capture forms, and marketing automation
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and payment gateway integrations
- Experience with custom Gutenberg blocks and React-based WordPress development
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Experience building high-converting landing pages for paid advertising campaigns
- Familiarity with Cloudflare, AWS, or other cloud hosting environments
- Experience with multilingual WordPress websites (WPML, Polylang)
- Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience with AI-powered website tools and integrations
- Previous experience working with startups, SaaS companies, or technology businesses
