CNC Milling Operator – Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components as per engineering drawings, CNC programs, and specified quality requirements.
- Set up machines by loading fixtures, workpieces, cutting tools, and verifying tool offsets before starting production.
- Support current product development (NPD/NPI) by machining prototype and first-off components according to defined process requirements.
- Monitor machining operations and optimize basic cutting parameters, tool selection, and machining methods to improve productivity.
- Perform in-process inspection using appropriate measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with tolerances.
- Identify and report machining issues such as tool wear, vibration, dimensional variation, burrs, and surface-finish problems.
- Support process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle time, tool consumption, rejection, and machine downtime.




- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, work instructions, and process documentation relevant to CNC milling operations.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, tool-change, and machine-related records while following 5S and workplace safety requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets and support continuous improvement activities.

- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (Required)

Experience:
- VMC operator: 1 year (Required)
