About the Role

We are looking for an investment professional from a private credit background (AIF, venture debt, private credit or alternative credit) to originate, underwrite and manage structured debt deals end to end — from the first conversation to disbursement, and through the life of the investment.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate deals — build a pipeline of startups and MSMEs.
- Underwrite credit — assess business models, cash flows, burn and runway, unit economics, promoter quality and security cover.
- Structure transactions — design term sheets (tenor, pricing, covenants, security, warrants) and negotiate them with founders.
- Investment committee — prepare investment memos and present recommendations with a clear view of risks and mitigants.
- Execution — coordinate due diligence, legal documentation and disbursement with legal, compliance and operations.
- Portfolio monitoring — track performance, covenant compliance and early-warning signals; lead restructuring or recovery where needed.
- Relationships — maintain strong relationships with VC funds, founders and co-lenders.

Requirements





- 5–8 years of experience, with at least 3 years at a private credit — venture debt, private credit, structured credit or an alternative-credit AIF.
- Hands-on experience across the full deal cycle: origination, underwriting, structuring, documentation and monitoring.
- Robust credit analysis and financial modelling, including startup and MSME balance sheets.
- Working knowledge of SEBI AIF regulations.
- Clear writing for investment memos and confidence presenting to an investment committee.
- Qualification: CA, MBA (Finance) or CFA.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience investing in both VC-backed startups and MSMEs.
- An existing network among founders and co-lenders.
- Prior corporate banking, NBFC or investment banking experience before moving to a fund.
