About the role

We are looking for a US IT Recruiter to join our Chennai office. You will source, screen and submit IT consultants for contract and full-time roles with US clients and vendors. You will work closely with our account managers and US-based partners to close positions quickly and with quality candidates.

Key responsibilities

- Understand US IT job requirements from account managers and clients, including skills, rate, location and visa needs.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals (Dice, Indeed, CareerBuilder and similar), social media and internal databases.
- Screen candidates on technical skills, communication, availability, work authorization and rate expectations.
- Prepare and submit profiles to clients, vendors and MSP/VMS portals within the required timelines.
- Negotiate rates and confirm terms (W2, C2C, 1099) with candidates.
- Schedule interviews,



follow up on feedback and keep candidates informed through the process.
- Maintain candidate and requirement records accurately in the ATS or tracker.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for recurring skills.
- Meet daily and weekly targets for submissions, interviews and closures.

Required skills and qualifications

- 6 months to 3 years of experience in US IT staffing.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Positive understanding of US employment terms: W2, C2C, 1099, and visa types such as H1B, OPT, CPT, GC and USC.
- Basic knowledge of IT technologies and roles, such as Java, .NET, Python, cloud, data and testing.
- Experience with Boolean search and sourcing on LinkedIn and job boards.
- Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working the US shift from the Chennai office.
- Self-motivated, target-driven and a good team player.

Good to have

- Experience working with MSP/VMS systems and prime vendors.
- Familiarity with an ATS or LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Experience recruiting for end clients and implementation partners.
