PANHA serves a community of over 20,000 members, supporting concerns such as heartbreak, family issues, academic stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and more.

With a core vision to decrease suicide cases, PANHA also provides special support to people facing harassment or stalking and partners with institutions to build emotionally safe communities. The organization is driven by volunteers, Buddies, and partners dedicated to making it easier for everyone to ask for help and feel heard.

Role Description The UI/UX Design for App volunteer will contribute to designing user-centered interfaces and experiences for PANHA’s digital platforms, with a focus on accessibility, empathy, and ease of use. Day-to-day tasks include creating wireframes and mockups, developing interactive prototypes, refining visual design elements,



and collaborating with product and peer-support teams to understand user needs and behavior. The volunteer will analyze user journeys, gather feedback from community members, and continuously iterate on designs to improve engagement and emotional safety in the app experience.

This is a remote volunteer role, offering flexibility while making a meaningful impact on mental health support.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Mockups, Prototyping, and User Experience Design (UED) to create intuitive, user-centered flows and interactions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Visual Design to develop clean, empathetic, and accessible interfaces that align with PANHA’s brand and mission.
- Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development to help translate designs into functional components and ensure design feasibility.
- Understanding of mobile app design patterns, accessibility best practices, and responsive design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, incorporate feedback, and iterate quickly.
- Prior experience or robust interest in mental health, social impact projects, or community-focused products is beneficial.
- Portfolio or examples of previous UI/UX work demonstrating user-centered design approach.
