Role Description The Turner at Ajwad Aluminum Co. is responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines to produce precision aluminum components according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include setting up workpieces, selecting appropriate tools, performing turning operations, and measuring finished parts with gauges and instruments to ensure accuracy and quality. The role involves routine machine inspections, basic troubleshooting,



and coordination with supervisors and other production staff to meet project timelines and safety requirements.

The Turner is also expected to keep the work area clean, follow all health and safety procedures, and maintain proper documentation of work performed. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kalaburagi.

Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions for machining tasks.
- Hands-on experience operating lathe machines or similar machining equipment, preferably in metal or aluminum fabrication.
- Knowledge of basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Understanding of shop safety practices, machine maintenance basics, and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and production team members.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment; vocational training or certification in machining is an advantage.
- Willingness to work full time on-site in Kalaburagi and follow company policies and procedures.
