Role Description The Training Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport in Mumbai.

The Training

Manager is responsible for assessing learning needs across departments, designing training programs, and delivering engaging workshops and on-the-job training to hotel associates. This role oversees the implementation of brand standards, service excellence initiatives, and compliance-related training, while maintaining accurate training records and reporting progress to leadership.

Manager collaborates closely with department heads to support performance improvement, onboarding, and career development plans. The role also involves evaluating training effectiveness, refining content based on feedback, and supporting a culture of continuous learning and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in training needs analysis, program design, and facilitation of classroom and on-the-job learning.
- Experience with performance coaching, feedback delivery, and developing learning paths for team members.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills for maintaining training records and schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams and build stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, guest service standards, and brand compliance (experience in hotels or service industry preferred).
- Proficiency with presentation tools, learning materials, and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, e-learning platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business, or related field; relevant certifications in training or L&D; are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and support flexible schedules aligned with hotel operations.
