Assistant Manager – iDoT operations

This position is part of the Technology & Operations function at Indus Towers, working on providing and implementing technical solutions for integration, software upgrade life cycle management and operations of different IoT devices managed under telecom network operations. Expect to collaborate with multiple stake holders at Corporate, Circle and across functions to ensure the organizational objectives are fulfilled.

Responsibilities would include sites integration, IoT integrations, SNMP management, IP configuration, technical data analysis, operations management, OEM and partner technical SMEs co-ordination for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

- Integrate multiple IoT devices into the network / applications via SNMP or related technology
- E2E lifecycle management of connected devices including IP planning, configuration and operations management.
- Own, monitor and carry out SW upgrade of the connected devices remotely including testing and stability of the new software patch / update / upgrade version.
- Coordinate with OEM and other TSP teams for issue resolution and software version upgrade activities.
- Act as an SME for the function and provide technical solutions for complex problems that arise in day-to-day operations
- Create and mentor multiple SMEs within the team for scalability.




- Develop current automation ideas for improving the efficiency of the operations using the available connected devices
- Convert ideas into action by clearly articulating the means and ends of every idea
- Perform data analysis, develop storylines, manage task scheduling, and participate in review meetings
- Data analysis and management reporting dashboards preparation.
- Lead and supervise operations teams, providing coaching and performance management.
- Responsible for the technical development & training of the team members

Qualifications and skills

- BE or BTech in EC/IT/CS or ME or M Tech in EC/IT/CS
- 7+ years of overall experience with 5+ hands-on experience in telecom network operations / planning in IP / transmission domain
- Technical certification in AWS, CCNA, CCNP, Junos, Microsoft or IP / transmission related domains
- Strong data analytics skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, risk management and team handling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, should be independently able to create slide deck, analyse data in excel as well create processes for their own work area
- Proficiency in operational technology and industry specific software platforms.
- Ability to lead and supervise operations team, provide coaching and performance monitoring.
