Technical Support Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract)

Department: Customer Support & Process Automation

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our Process Automation Customer Support team.

In this role, you will assist in diagnosing, reproducing, and resolving hardware, software, and communication issues for industrial automation systems.

You will also assist in managing test lab environments, configuring test benches, and providing remote customer support.

Customer Technical Support: o Provide Tier-1 / Tier-2 technical support via ticketing systems, email, and phone for process automation hardware, software, and system communication issues. o Triage, reproduce, and troubleshoot reported customer issues using diagnostic logs, system symptoms, and configuration backups. o Escalate unresolved bugs or complex system faults to senior leads and engineering teams following standard escalation protocols.

- Lab & Asset Management: o Set up, wire, and configure lab hardware/software benches to replicate site specific customer environments. o Maintain and track process automation lab assets, including controllers, I/O modules, power supplies, and network switches.
- System & Communication Diagnostics: o Assist in identifying errors across distributed control platforms,



PLC/safety systems, and HMI/SCADA runtime environments. o Troubleshoot industrial communication links, serial interfaces, and Ethernet based process networks.
- Process & Case Documentation: o Maintain clean case histories from open to closure state with accurate root cause notes and resolution steps. o Assist in documenting test procedures, wiring layouts, and setup manuals for the lab infrastructure.

Education: Bachelors Degree (B.E. / B. Tech ) in Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical & Electronics, or related fields.

Experience: 1 3 years of hands-on or internship experience in industrial automation, control systems, testing, or field commissioning.

Core Technical Knowledge

Foundational understanding of DCS, PLC, or Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) architecture. o Familiarity with reading P&ID;, logic/interlock diagrams, and control narratives.

Basic knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC DA/UA, Serial RS-232/485, Ethernet switching). • Communication Skills: Transparent verbal and written English communication skills for customer correspondence and technical documentation.
