We are hiring Team Lead for a short-term freelance/contractor engagement for an AI Training Data, Annotation & Evaluation Project in India

Role: Team Lead

Experience: 4–6 Years

Mode: Remote

Engagement: Contractor / Short-Term Contract

Start: Immediate

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

Technical Qualification:

- 4–6 years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing teams against productivity, quality, and delivery targets.
- Ability to lead annotators and Pod Leads, assign daily targets, and manage staffing requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand complex project guidelines and translate them into clear, actionable team instructions.
- Experience managing competing priorities and delivering results within tight deadlines.
- Experience in annotation, data labeling, AI training data, or AI evaluation projects is preferred.
- Ability to monitor performance metrics, identify quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Experience collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA) and tooling teams to improve workflows and operational efficiency.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, including BCA, B.Tech, B.E., MCA, or M.Tech. .

Availability Requirements:

- Available to work five days per week, including weekends as required,



with two weekdays off.
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced project environment with tight turnaround times, sometimes as short as 24 hours.
- Immediate availability for remote contract work

- Personal laptop/desktop and stable high-speed internet

What You’ll Work On:

- Manage annotation batches from project launch through final delivery.
- Translate complex client guidelines into explicit, actionable team instructions.
- Lead annotators and Pod Leads, set daily targets, and manage staffing requirements.
- Monitor team productivity, quality metrics, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze performance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve quality.
- Conduct coaching, retraining, and remediation for team members when required.
- Collaborate with QA and tooling teams to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Identify quality issues, process bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
- Develop high-performing team members for future leadership opportunities.
- Track project progress and report risks, issues, and blockers to the Project Lead.
- Ensure accurate, high-quality AI training data delivery within tight deadlines.
- Optimize team performance to meet client expectations and project objectives
