Mandatory Requirements (How to generate your EPCN)

EPCN number is mandatory for eligibility of the interview. Follow the below steps to register :

Step 1: Visit [ https://ibegin.tcsapps.com/candidate/ ] or visit [ https://www.tcs.com/careers ] and click on 'Apply Now'

Step 2: On the I Begin homepage, click on Login (Three dots/lines at top right corner of the homepage to get the option)

Step 3: Click on New User (Register with us)

Step 4: Select "IT" in Area of Interest and complete the registration. (Fill in the details)

Step 5: Once completed, your TCS EP ID would be generated which starts with EP2026CNXXXXXXX.

Step 6: You will be able to see your EP ID after your login to the I Begin website

- Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3) (B. Tech preferred)

Job Role

Backend developer to build secure, scalable Python services and APIs powering business applications and integrations. Focus on clean architecture, performance, reliability, and production-ready deployments using Flask/FastAPI and modern engineering practices.

- Database skills: SQL, schema design, ORM (SQLAlchemy), migrations
- Security basics: OAuth2/JWT, OWASP, secure coding, PII handling
- Testing & SDLC: pytest, Git, code reviews, CI/CD fundamentals

•Async Python (asyncio), performance tuning, profiling
- Event-driven patterns, Celery/Beat, Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Observability (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
- Kubernetes/Terraform and API gateways (Kong/Apigee)

Responsibilities:

- Design & build REST/GraphQL APIs (versioning, pagination, error handling, documentation)
- Develop microservices using Flask/FastAPI; implement background jobs and async flows when needed
- Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), caching (Redis), and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/Celery)
- Implement auth/security (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC), input validation, rate limiting, and secrets management
- Write tests (pytest), enable logging/metrics/tracing, and troubleshoot production issues
- Package and deploy with Docker; support CI/CD and cloud runtime (AWS/Azure/GCP)
