Key Responsibilities

· Teach Tamil language and literature to students from primary to secondary levels.

· Prepare structured lesson plans, worksheets, teaching materials, and assessments according to the prescribed curriculum.

· Develop students’ proficiency in Tamil reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and comprehension.

· Encourage students to develop an appreciation for Tamil language, literature, culture, and heritage.

· Use interactive teaching methods, storytelling, reading activities, and creative writing exercises to enhance language learning.

· Assess students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, examinations, and other evaluation methods.

· Provide additional guidance and support to students who require improvement in language skills.

· Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom workplace.

· Adapt teaching strategies to meet the learning needs and abilities of individual students.

· Collaborate with other teachers and school management to ensure effective curriculum delivery.

· Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress, performance, and areas for improvement.

· Participate in school events,



cultural programmes, language activities, and extracurricular initiatives.

· Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and student performance.

Requirements

· Minimum 1+ year of teaching experience as a Tamil Teacher in a school.

· Strong proficiency in Tamil, including grammar, reading, writing, and spoken communication.

· Prior school teaching experience is mandatory.

· A Bachelor’s degree in Tamil or a relevant qualification is preferred.

· B.Ed. qualification will be an added advantage.

· Experience teaching under IB, IGCSE, CBSE, or ICSE curricula will be an added advantage.

· Familiarity with age-appropriate teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques.

· Ability to engage students across different age groups and academic levels.

· Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

· A student-centred approach with a genuine passion for language teaching.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
