Job Responsibilities :

. Deputy for the satellite platform end-to-end excluding payload and TT&C;: structural bus, attitude control, propulsion, on-board computer and flight software, optical inter-satellite links, electrical power, and manufacturing tooling. Drives vendor selection across Indian and global subsystem suppliers and signs off platform-level qualification.

In this role, the Systems Lead is the platform-level technical authority across six core spacecraft subsystems. The function runs the multi-vendor RFQ programme, sets architectural decisions on radiation tolerance and propulsion, and chairs platform qualification reviews. Specific accountabilities follow.

- Adjudicate RFQs for bus, ACS, propulsion, OBC and flight software, optical ISL, and solar array / EPS subsystems.
- Support defining propulsion budget consistent with active disposal (5-year IADC guideline) at E3 altitude.
- Contribute to the OBC architecture decision (radiation-hardened versus COTS-with-shielding)



supporting regenerative payload gNB processing.
- Specify pointing accuracy for Ka and S-band beam steering and ISL acquisition.
- Procure manufacturing tooling (harness jigs, structural fixtures, solar array deployment rigs) timed to PFM build.
- Chair platform-level qualification reviews and own platform anomaly resolution post-launch.

Education Requirement :

- Postgraduate qualification in aerospace or electrical engineering.

Experience Requirement :

- 10 to 15 years in spacecraft platform engineering with subsystem-level ownership.
- Experience integrating multi-vendor subsystem delivery onto a single bus.
- Working knowledge of LEO radiation environment and shielding design at 600-800 km altitudes.
- Track record managing global subsystem suppliers under fixed-price contracts.

Skills & Competencies :

The role requires a senior spacecraft platform engineer with subsystem-level ownership across multiple bus families, hands-on multi-vendor delivery integration, and working knowledge of LEO radiation workplace design. .
