SVP – Lead Salesforce Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Salesforce engineering leader to drive technical architecture, hands-on development, and engineering delivery. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce development, complex integrations, platform architecture, and leading distributed engineering teams.

This role requires robust technical ownership, the ability to solve complex engineering challenges, and experience establishing scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end technical architecture, engineering delivery, and solution quality.
- Design and develop complex Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura.
- Define reusable component frameworks, integration patterns, asynchronous processing strategies, and error-handling standards.
- Lead complex integrations across multiple systems using APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and other Salesforce integration capabilities.
- Establish standards for code quality, testing, code reviews, deployment, and performance optimization.
- Ensure Salesforce security, data integrity, auditability, and compliance requirements are addressed in solution design.
- Resolve complex technical challenges involving governor limits, system integrations, platform constraints, and large data volumes.
- Lead and mentor globally distributed engineering teams, ensuring delivery commitments and technical excellence.




- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and architecture teams on technical decisions, engineering priorities, and platform improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

- 12+ years of relevant Salesforce experience, with substantial hands-on development and architecture expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Apex, asynchronous Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura.
- Expertise in Salesforce integration architecture, API integrations, error handling, retry mechanisms, and asynchronous processing.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits, platform architecture, security, sharing models, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing scalable and reusable Salesforce frameworks and complex enterprise implementations.
- Proven experience owning platform-level technical decisions and establishing engineering standards.
- Experience leading and mentoring distributed engineering teams across time zones.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions and technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
- Financial Services industry experience is preferred.

Good to Have

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect.
- Experience with Platform Events, CDC, Named Credentials, and External Services.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, test automation, and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and API Gateway.
- Experience with large data volumes, audit-grade data architecture, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
