Student Champion Initiative: Join Us in Reimagining Indian Education! Fountainhead School, a leading IB institution, is on a mission to redefine learning in India, and the Student Champion Initiative plays a critical part in this journey. As a Student Champion, you will be an advocate and advisor, dedicated to supporting a group of 50-100 students holistic growth through a highly personalized approach that involves academic tracking, socio-emotional support, and continuous parent-school engagement. This role offers the unique chance to stay with students throughout their school journey, fostering long-term relationships and creating a positive impact.

What You ll Do

- Support Academic Growth : Track students academic progress by monitoring foundational skills, assessments, reading scores, and project work. Set and oversee academic goals, ensuring each student builds a diverse skill set. When specific academic needs arise (e.g., skills like fractions or persuasive writing), facilitate students engagement in targeted learning sessions.
- Provide Socio-emotional Support : Conduct frequent one-on-one or small group check-ins with students to support their socio-emotional learning, resilience, and confidence. These interactions aim to build strong student relationships and offer continuous peer and emotional support. However, for more pressing concerns,



the school Well-being Counselor will need to be consulted and kept in the loop along with the Programme Principal.
- Build Strong Parent Relationships : Serve as the main point of contact for parents, ensuring clear and regular communication. Conduct bi-annual home visits, maintain ongoing dialogues, and provide guidance on supporting students growth both academically and emotionally.
- Manage Student Data and Documentation : Maintain detailed records of all student interactions, academic progress, and socio-emotional development. Prepare comprehensive weekly summaries, including specific academic and socio-emotional updates, and keep logs of all parent communications. Document observations from advisory sessions to assess group dynamics and address emerging concerns.
- Plan and Execute Interventions : For students requiring additional support, create individualized intervention plans that outline targeted actions, timelines, and expected outcomes. Share these plans with the team leader or principal during regular meetings to ensure resources and support align with student needs.
- Regular Reporting and Insights :
- Compile and present weekly progress overviews of students academic and socio-emotional development, noting any special achievements or areas requiring intervention.
- Provide updates on parent engagement, such as home visit feedback, workshops, and requests,



ensuring all communication is documented.
- Share insights from advisory sessions, highlighting group dynamics and identifying students who may need additional support.
- Participate in weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the team leader or principal, summarizing student status, reviewing support plans, and recommending improvements to enhance the Student Champion Initiative s effectiveness.

- Ongoing Improvement and Feedback : Offer feedback on the program, including pilot phase insights, and suggest adjustments to improve the student support process based on data, student progress, and parent feedback.

Ideal Candidates Have
- A background in counseling or a related field (ideal but not mandatory)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect well with students and parents
- Excellent communication skills with a balanced approach of assertiveness and empathy
