Role Purpose

Lead the technical strategy, deployment, operations, and performance optimization of Lithium-ion Battery (LFP) solutions across telecom and energy infrastructure. The role will be responsible for battery technology evaluation, battery pack manufacturing assessment, installation standards, vendor management, field operations, and development of advanced BMS analytics capabilities to improve battery reliability, lifecycle, safety, and total cost of ownership.

The candidate will act as the subject matter expert for Lithium Battery Systems and drive technology innovation, supplier development, quality assurance, field performance management, and next-generation battery intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Battery Technology & Product Management

- Drive technical evaluation and qualification of Lithium-ion Battery solutions, including LFP, NMC and emerging chemistries.
- Define technical specifications, acceptance criteria and qualification processes for battery packs, modules and associated components.
- Lead product lifecycle management for telecom and energy storage battery solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies related to batteries, battery energy storage systems (BESS), cell technologies and thermal management.
- Develop technology roadmaps aligned with organizational energy strategy.

2. Manufacturing & Supplier Development

- Assess OEMs, assemblers and manufacturing partners for technical capability, quality systems and production readiness.
- Conduct manufacturing audits covering:
- Cell qualification processes
- Assembly line automation
- Welding technologies
- Traceability systems
- End-of-line testing
- Validation facilities
- Safety and compliance systems

- Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, reliability and cost competitiveness.
- Establish technical governance mechanisms with strategic battery and BMS suppliers.

3. Battery Installation & Field Deployment

- Own deployment standards for Lithium Battery installations across telecom and critical infrastructure sites.
- Develop installation SOPs,



commissioning procedures and maintenance standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards and OEM guidelines.
- Support field teams in troubleshooting deployment challenges.
- Lead pilot deployments and field validation programs.

4. Operations & Lifecycle Management

- Monitor battery performance across deployed sites.
- Develop predictive maintenance frameworks.
- Lead root cause analysis for battery failures and degradation.
- Drive improvement initiatives to enhance uptime, reliability and battery life.
- Manage warranty claims, vendor escalations and field corrective actions.

5. BMS Technology & Analytics

- Serve as the internal expert on Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Evaluate and define requirements for:
- SOC algorithms
- SOH estimation
- Cell balancing strategies
- Thermal management algorithms
- Protection logic
- Fault diagnostics
- Remote monitoring systems

- Work with OEMs and technology partners on BMS standardization and interoperability.
- Define data architecture for battery analytics platforms.

6. Data Analytics & Digital Battery Intelligence

- Develop analytics models using BMS data for:
- State of Charge (SOC)
- State of Health (SOH)
- Remaining Practical Life (RUL)
- Cell imbalance detection
- Thermal risk detection
- Failure prediction

- Create dashboards and KPI frameworks for fleet-wide battery monitoring.
- Implement AI/ML-based predictive analytics to optimize battery performance.
- Generate insights for replacement planning, energy optimization and lifecycle extension.

7. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Manage relationships with battery manufacturers, cell suppliers, BMS providers and system integrators.
- Lead technical negotiations and supplier evaluations.




- Support commercial teams during RFPs, technical bid evaluations and contract finalization.
- Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Technology, Deployment and Quality teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Energy Systems, Electrochemistry, Instrumentation or related discipline.
