Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Store Assistant to support daily store operations at our shipyard. The candidate will assist in receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, tools, consumables, and spare parts required for shipbuilding and ship repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in receiving materials, tools, spare parts, and consumables from suppliers.

- Verify materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.

- Ensure proper storage, identification, labelling, and arrangement of materials.

- Issue materials to production, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, and other departments against approved requisitions.

- Maintain accurate stock registers and update inventory records in Excel or ERP software.

- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and report discrepancies to the Store In-charge.

- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the concerned authority about material shortages.

- Maintain proper records of inward and outward materials, material returns, and damaged items.

- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and systematic arrangement of the store area.

- Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Maintenance,



and Accounts departments for smooth material movement.

- Follow company procedures for inventory control, material handling, and documentation.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Plus Two or equivalent qualification.

- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel.

- Knowledge of inventory management or ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 0–2 years of experience in stores, inventory management, or warehouse operations.

- Freshers with a willingness to learn may also apply.

- Experience in a shipyard, manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering company will be an advantage.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of storekeeping and inventory management.

- Valuable organizational and record-keeping skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work in a team and coordinate with different departments.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
