We’re looking for a Steel Cage Engineer for one of our clients where the candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely production of reinforcement cages. Candidates experienced in reinforcement steel fabrication, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and reinforcement drawings needed.

Position- STEEL CAGE ENGINEER

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Employment Type: Permanent

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

?‍? Experience: Minimum 2 year and Maximum 5 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise steel reinforcement cage fabrication as per approved drawings and BBS.
- Ensure accuracy in steel cutting, bending, tying, spacing, cover, and cage dimensions.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Mould teams for smooth operations.
- Monitor daily production targets, manpower deployment, and material availability.
- Inspect reinforcement cages before mould placement and ensure timely correction of deviations.




- Minimize steel wastage and maintain accurate production and material consumption records.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and proper handling of reinforcement steel.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of BBS and reinforcement drawings.
- Experience in steel cutting, bending, and reinforcement cage fabrication.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bar bending schedules.
- Manpower planning, production monitoring, and quality control.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Solid coordination, problem-solving, and execution skills.

Preferred Experience Experience in precast concrete manufacturing and reinforcement cage fabrication will be an added advantage.
