Role Description The Staff Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power IT PRODUCT’s software solutions. This full-time hybrid role is based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting backend systems, writing clean and efficient server-side code, integrating with front-end applications and third-party services, and ensuring reliability, performance, and security. The role also involves conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, improving development practices,



and partnering with product and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.

Engineer will troubleshoot production issues, optimize systems, and contribute to long-term technical roadmaps and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Programming for building scalable, secure, and maintainable services.
- Solid Software Development experience, including designing, implementing, and deploying production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and patterns to create robust, reusable, and testable code.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Front-End Development teams to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
- Experience with contemporary backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or similar) and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching, message queues, and microservices or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
