Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Software Engineer (SSE) to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess solid Java development skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of ITIL-based service management processes to effectively support both development and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities Application Development

- Design, develop, test, and implement Java-based applications and enhancements.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code following industry best practices.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

Application Support
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for production applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot,



and resolve application issues within SLA timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Participate in application releases, deployments, and post-production validation activities.

Service Excellence
- Ensure compliance with support processes, operational procedures, and service-level commitments.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational automation.
- Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support runbooks.
- Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities as needed.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8+, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading .
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, and REST APIs .
- Good understanding of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server.
- Strong SQL querying and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Git, SonarQube , etc.
- Experience in debugging, performance tuning,



and analyzing production issues.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies is an added advantage.

ITIL & Service Management Knowledge
- Good understanding of ITIL service management concepts .
- Experience working with:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Service Request Management
- SLA and KPI monitoring

- Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or equivalent .

Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder interaction capabilities.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within global teams.
