Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance a legacy software application built using VC++ and MFC with RDBMS.

- Diagnose and fix software defects, ensuring the stability and reliability of the application.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

- Perform code reviews, write efficient code, and maintain coding standards and best practices.

- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and security of the software.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- 8+ years of experience in software development using VC++ with a strong emphasis on MFC.

- Experience in developing MDI applications using MFC.

- Experience in Database interactions and UI Components.

- Solid understanding of RDBMS and experience working with SQL/ PL/SQL/ Oracle.

- Proficient in debugging, profiling, and optimizing C++ applications.

- Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.





- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.

- Good proficiency in Modern C++ (C++11 and above).

- Experience developing and maintaining native C++ applications on Windows and/or Linux (MFC, MDI, ATL, Win32).

- Experience with C++ database connectivity technologies such as ADO/ADODB, ODBC, OLE DB, or equivalent frameworks.

- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

- Familiarity with C#, .NET Core, and web development.

- Experience in migrating, modernizing, or refactoring legacy applications.

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

- Experience working in Agile environments and across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to enterprise application development and support.

- Experience with REST APIs and application integration.

- Knowledge of additional programming languages, frameworks, or cloud technologies.

- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
