1. Job Summary

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes. The role involves site inspections, quality documentation, identification of defects, and coordination with project teams and contractors to ensure quality construction and timely project delivery.

1. Key Responsibilities

A.

Quality

Control &

- Site Inspection

- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

- Inspect civil, structural, architectural, finishing, and MEP-related works as applicable.

- Monitor quality during concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, flooring, and other finishing activities.

- Verify line, level, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship at various stages of construction.

- Ensure inspection and approval of work before proceeding to the next stage.

B.

Material

Quality &

- Testing

- Inspect construction materials such as cement, steel, concrete, aggregates, blocks, tiles, paints, and waterproofing materials.

- Verify material quality against approved specifications and relevant test certificates.

- Coordinate concrete cube tests, slump tests, steel tests, and other material testing as required.

- Maintain material inspection records and ensure only approved materials are used at the site.

Quality

Assurance &

- Compliance

- Implement project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs),



and quality checklists.

- Ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, technical specifications, applicable IS codes, and project quality procedures.

- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the concerned teams.

- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to prescribed quality standards.

D. Documentation &

- Reporting

- Maintain inspection reports, material test reports, checklists, quality registers, and site observation reports.

- Prepare and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track corrective actions until closure.

- Maintain records of approved materials, method statements, and inspection requests.

- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to the reporting manager.

Defect

Management &

- Handover

- Identify construction defects, workmanship issues, cracks, seepage, leakage, uneven surfaces, and finishing deficiencies.

- Coordinate with site engineers and contractors for timely rectification.

- Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections before handing over units or common areas.





- Ensure closure of quality observations before final inspection and project handover.

F. Coordination &

- Continuous Improvement

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, MEP teams, consultants, and contractors.

- Conduct quality awareness sessions and communicate quality requirements to site teams.

- Recommend improvements in construction processes to reduce rework, wastage, and quality-related delays.

- Ensure proper implementation of quality standards throughout project execution.

1. Qualifications &
- Experience

- Education: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.

- Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction quality control, preferably in real estate or residential/commercial building projects.

- Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, quality inspection methods, and relevant IS codes.

- Experience in site quality documentation, snagging, NCR management, and finishing inspections.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD drawings, and construction documentation.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
