Job Title: Sr. Java Backend Engineer (Insurance Domain, Java, Spring Boot, Sapiens)

Location: Bangalore OR Pune

Mandatory Skills

Working knowledge of Sapiens.

Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.

Positive working knowledge of setting up Insurance Domain-related models in Sapiens, such as Eligibility Determination, Risk Scoring, and other related model setups. Insurance domain experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services following microservices architecture and industry best practices.

Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication and real-time data streaming across microservices.

Develop Spring Boot microservices with robust exception handling, validation, and transaction management for enterprise systems.

Work with Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners to understand their business functions and processes,



helping them identify key decisions in their processes, including data and metadata requirements for those decisions that are complete and unambiguous.

Consult on decision information gathering sessions.

Construct and maintain decision models of moderate complexity that accurately capture the rules for decisions that make up specific product offerings.

Validate the accuracy of decision models by adhering to the design tenets of decision modeling and constructing test cases to compare expected results with actual results.

Develop tools and processes required to help drive decision management processes.

Effectively state the impact of pending projects on existing structures across multiple business areas.

Conduct stakeholder reviews, including identifying stakeholders, scheduling and conducting reviews, and collecting and evaluating feedback.
