Qualification:

Essential

Full-time B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.

Desirable

Degree/Diploma/Certification Course in Operations / Production / Manufacturing / Metallurgy / Furnace Operations. B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy is an added advantage.

Experience:

Essential

3 to 5 years of experience in Billet Aluminium or Steel

Hands-on experience in rotational-shift furnace operations, molten metal processing and production control.

Reliable career history: not more than 2 employers in the last 5 years.

Desired

- Billet Alumininum Hot Refining and Melting furnace operations, including furnace charging schedule, quantity and sequence.
- Metal Circulation Furnace / Pump Furnace, Melting Furnace and Holding Furnace operations.




- Flux quantity and flux addition control; alloying composition, alloying sequence and addition of virgin alloy / virgin metal.
- Chemical composition control and spectrometer-based quality checking against alloy specifications.
- Melt loss control, dross reduction and metal recovery in an Billet Aluminium / Non-Ferrous manufacturing environment.
- Ingot quality control: visual quality and ingot weight variation.
- Process optimization, root cause analysis and troubleshooting of furnace and equipment issues.
- ERP production and quality booking, process parameters, production targets and EHS requirements.

Job Profile:

- Ensure minimal deviation from the approved Process Monitoring Sheet and defined furnace process parameters.
- Oversee BilletAluminium Hot Refining / Melting operations across furnaces, including charging schedule and quantity, flux addition, alloying composition and sequence, and addition of virgin alloy material.
- Monitor and control Metal Circulation / Pump Furnace and other melting / refining furnaces to ensure stable and efficient molten metal processing.
- Achieve shift-wise production, cost, melt loss, dross production, metal recovery and quality targets.
- Monitor molten metal temperature, process parameters, alloy composition and refining conditions as per defined process standards.
- Verify and sign off quality reports based on spectrometry, chemical composition and visual checks; ensure accurate ERP production and quality booking.
- Ensure required BilletAluminium alloy chemical composition is achieved and take corrective action in case of process or quality deviation.
- Respond to process, quality, furnace and equipment issue escalations during the shift and ensure timely corrective action.




- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure availability of furnaces, pumps, burners, material handling equipment and other critical machinery.
- Identify root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions to minimize production and quality losses.
- Ensure ingot quality control, including surface/visual quality, chemical composition and weight variation.
- Monitor and control melt loss, dross generation and metal recovery to improve efficiency and reduce operating cost.
- Control plant pollution and ensure adherence to applicable EHS, environmental and safety requirements, SOPs and work instructions.
- Maintain shift production records, process monitoring sheets, spectrometry records, melt loss, dross, recovery and quality data.

Machinery & Equipment Handled Hot Refining

- Furnaces: SKLENER Furnaces A & E (6 MT each), Regenerative Furnace F (6 MT), Melting Furnace L (10 MT), Holding Furnace M (12 MT), C-106 Pump Melting Furnace (35 MT) and C-106 Holding Furnace (25 MT).
- Other Equipment: IDSM Machine, Casters 1, 2, 4 & 5, Autostackers 1, 2, 4 & 5, and Ladle Preheater.

Preferred Skill:

- Experience in secondary Billet aluminium, Billet Aluminium alloy or ingot manufacturing, or automotive die-casting alloy supply.
- Certification in Furnace Operations or Metallurgy.
- Experience supervising operators and technicians on shift.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, pollution control and sustainability practices in metal manufacturing.

- Age: 2730 years
- CTC 3.6 LPA to 6.8 LPA approx., based on experience and current compensation.
- Candidate must be willing to work rotational shifts
