Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role based in Chennai.

The Special Education

Teacher will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for learners with diverse needs, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to support their academic and social development. Daily responsibilities include assessing student strengths and challenges, delivering targeted interventions, and providing classroom support in collaboration with general education teachers. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, tracking progress, and communicating regularly with families and school staff to ensure consistent support.



The teacher will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contribute to school-wide inclusion initiatives, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Special Education principles and experience working with learners with various disabilities.
- Demonstrated teaching skills with middle school learners, including classroom management and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, colleagues, and support staff.
- Relevant degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field; specialized certification in Special Education is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, assessment tools, and inclusive classroom practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary workplace and adapt to diverse cultural and educational contexts.
- Proficiency in using basic educational technology and digital tools to support learning.
- Prior experience in an inclusive or special needs school setting is an advantage.
- Freshers with relevant degree and skills can also apply.
