Is sport and social media your jam? Read on.

We’re East Coast Tennis Centre, a kids’ tennis coaching programme in Chennai. We care a lot about how children learn the game, from the first lesson and movement before strokes to coaches who know exactly why they do what they do. We want to show that on Instagram, and we need someone to help us do it.

What you’ll do You’ll be on court during our sessions, filming drills, coaching moments and the everyday feel of the place, and interviewing our coaches on camera about how and why they teach the way they do. Then you’ll cut it all into reels people actually watch to the end. We have a schedule where you will be shooting video for a week and then editing and posting over the month. You’ll be working with our team while we plan and schedule the whole 1-week-on-3-week-off shooting timeline.

We also work alongside Kabadiwalla Connect Environmental Foundation, who run community waste management programmes across the city. You’ll edit their footage too, which their team shoots. It’s a very different subject, covering the recyclers and systems most people never notice, and finding the story there is one of the most helpful skills you’ll pick up. You will work with their on-site person to get content that you can edit.

What you’ll learn How to frame and light a shot that holds attention,



how to find stories to tell, how to cut a reel with real pace, and how to ask a question that gets an honest answer rather than a polite one. You’ll get clear briefs and honest feedback, and we’ll go through what worked and what didn’t so each piece gets better than the last.

What you’ll walk away with A published portfolio across two very different subjects, which is worth more than one. You’ll also gain real speed from shoot to post and a lot more confidence talking to people on camera.

Who we’re looking for Someone who loves tennis (or sport in general), is comfortable walking up to people they don’t know, and is already creating something, whether that’s reels, photos or a YouTube channel nobody watches yet. A folder of your own work matters more to us than a film degree. Enthusiasm counts for a lot here.

You’ll need A smartphone with a decent camera and a way to get around Chennai, mostly Mylapore and Nungambakkam. Travel is covered.
