Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and technically competent Site Incharge to manage the operation and maintenance of STP (MBR technology), RO systems, MEE and ATFD plants at the site. The candidate will be responsible for plant performance, manpower management, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance and day-to-day documentation using MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operation & Maintenance

- Operate and maintain STP based on MBR technology, RO systems, MEE and ATFD plants.
- Monitor daily plant performance, operating parameters, equipment condition and treated water quality.
- Ensure smooth operation of pumps, blowers, motors, agitators, dosing systems, membranes, filters and associated equipment.
- Monitor RO parameters such as feed pressure, permeate flow, recovery, salt rejection, differential pressure and conductivity.
- Monitor MEE and ATFD operating parameters, including temperature, pressure, vacuum, steam consumption, feed rate and concentrate/slurry handling, as applicable.
- Monitor MBR parameters such as MLSS, DO, pH, membrane differential pressure, permeate flow and membrane cleaning requirements.
- Identify operational problems and perform troubleshooting to minimize plant downtime.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Ensure proper chemical dosing, chemical consumption control and safe chemical handling.

2. Manpower & Site Management

- Supervise operators, technicians and housekeeping personnel.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor shift activities.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate with clients, maintenance teams, vendors and management.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain 5S at the plant.

3. Documentation & Computer Work





- Prepare and maintain daily plant operation reports and send daily reports through email.
- Prepare, update and maintain daily check sheets, equipment inspection sheets and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain plant logbooks, chemical consumption records, breakdown reports and shift handover reports.
- Prepare SOPs, operation manuals, checklists, maintenance records and troubleshooting reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports using MS Excel.
- Prepare presentations using MS PowerPoint and documentation using MS Word.
- Maintain records of water quality analysis, equipment maintenance, manpower attendance and plant performance.
- Prepare Excel trackers, data summaries, tables and charts as required.
- Maintain proper records for client reviews, internal audits and statutory or environmental compliance, as applicable.

4. Safety & Performance

- Ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
- Monitor water quality and plant performance against prescribed operational and discharge requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reduce chemical consumption and minimize downtime.
- Report abnormalities, incidents and equipment failures to the concerned authority.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable environmental and safety procedures.

Required Skills

- Practical knowledge of STP, MBR, RO, MEE and ATFD plant operation and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and email communication.
- Ability to prepare daily reports, check sheets, maintenance records and presentations.
- Positive communication, reporting, leadership and manpower management skills.
- Ability to work independently at an industrial site.

Preferred candidate profile Candidates with relevant experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance, particularly in STP-MBR, RO, MEE and ATFD systems, are encouraged to apply.
