Shopify Expert with Google Tag Manager (GTM)

About the Role :

We are looking for an immediate expert in Shopify and Google Tag Manager to support a short-term project. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Shopify storefront customization and with implementing and troubleshooting tracking through GTM.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement, configure and debug Google Tag Manager on Shopify (including Shopify Plus, where applicable)
- Set up and manage tags for Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads, Facebook Pixel and other marketing pixels
- Work with Shopify checkout extensibility, custom pixels and the data layer
- Troubleshoot tracking and conversion issues and e-commerce events (view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, purchase)
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure accurate data collection




- Provide documentation of the implementation

Required Skills :

- 3+ years of experience in Shopify development and Shopify Liquid
- Proven expertise in Google Tag Manager, GA4 and e-commerce tracking
- Robust understanding of the Shopify data layer and custom events
- Experience with enhanced e-commerce and GA4 e-commerce events
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Experience with conversion tracking and attribution

Good to Have :

- Google Tag Manager server-side tagging
- Shopify Custom Pixel
- Other analytics and marketing tools (Klaviyo, Meta CAPI)
